Whether you’re cheering on Rhode Island’s soccer team or a fleet of parading boats, there’s a lot to celebrate this weekend. See eclectic theater, experience the finer things, indulge in sustainable bites, dance like no one’s watching, make connections, and more, all on the agenda.

The Providence Fringe Festival, presented by Wilbury Theatre Group, continues with performing artists from all over the country presenting work in a range of genres, from theater to dance, culminating with a closing party Sunday. Through July 27, Providence 

An annual tradition dating back to 1972, the Blessing of the Fleet features three main events: the three-day festival of rides and music, the 10-mile road race on Friday, and, of course, the blessings bestowed upon the parade of boats Saturday. July 25-27, Narragansett   

Calling all fine art and fashion aficionados: The Newport Show is where those in the know find antiques, art, and exquisite objects. Proceeds from this fundraiser benefit the Newport Historical Society and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County. July 27-28, Middletown

Renowned musicians from all over the world convene at URI for the Kingston Chamber Music Festival. New works and exciting collaborations are trademarks of the two-week event curated by artistic director Natalie Zhu. July 24-August 4, Kingston

THURSDAY, July 25

The Downtown Providence Park Network hosts a lively night of free swing lessons and live music from Annie and the Fur Trappers for this week’s edition of the Burnside Concert Series, plus craft brews, food truck fare, and raw bar. 4:30pm, Providence

Members of the Indigenous community are uplifted for their community contributions at Tomaquag Museum’s Annual Honoring & Cultural Celebration. Make connections, share a meal, and hear inspiring stories. 5:30-8pm, Warwick

Sip and sample treats of the sea at Drinking with the Ecosystem, a pond-to-plate affair at ISCO featuring craft cocktails and seafood from Matunuck Oyster Bar and Quonnie Fish Cooperative, benefiting nonprofit Eating with the Ecosystem. Tickets online, Providence

FRIDAY, July 26

The Heal Room cultivates a judgment-free, safe space to engage in intentional movement during the Summer Ecstatic Dance Party. A cacao ceremony and meditation is followed by ice breakers and a unique dance experience with three DJ sets. Tickets online, East Providence
