The Culinary Hub of Providence (CHOP), which recently opened inside the Providence Public Library, is more than just a place to grab a bite; it’s a celebration of community and global flavors that also propels new chefs getting started in the industry.

The brainchild of chef Joshua Riazi, a 2024 Who to Watch honoree with over 20 years of experience, CHOP doubles as a culinary education center. Through the Genesis Center’s Chef Training Program, aspiring chefs gain hands-on experience while curating CHOP’s creative and diverse menu.

At their recent pop-up dining event, CHOP at Night, the chefs presented an eclectic menu of bold, globally inspired dishes and artisan cocktails. The culinary journey started with the Fried Blue Cheese Olives, an indulgent small plate that paired perfectly with the Silent Orchard cocktail, a refreshing blend of vodka, apple chamomile, Riesling syrup, dry cider, and club soda concocted by bar manager Sophie Szych.

From small plates like the Shrimp Aguachile Tostada to entrees such as the Lemongrass Duck Confit with chilled Vietnamese noodle salad, CHOP’s menu promises something for every palate. The combination of locally sourced ingredients and global flavors creates an unforgettable dining experience. CulinaryHubPVD.com
